Having too many places to get a good slice of 'za is a good problem to have.
Check out WTGDallas' favorite D-town pizza destinations by category:
1. Greenville Avenue Pizza Co. (GapCo) - Best Flavor
I LOVE GapCo!! Everything I've ordered there has come out downright delicious. You can get huge single slices, small 12" pizzas, or large 16" pizzas off their unique "Greenville Style Pies" menu - which I highly suggest - or you can make your own!
Beware: the price of $0.75 per topping adds up. They also have steamy, fat calzones good for any late night chow-down.
The place is always busy and their high tables are squeezed in the back, but it's always worth it for this cheeseterpiece. Fortunately, GapCo stays open really late at night so you don't have to order Pizza Hut every time you have the drunchies (sorry to throw shade, PH).
PRO TIP // GapCo is open 'til 3 or 4 AM most days {except Monday}
{1923 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75206}
2. Sixty Vines - Best Margherita Pizza

Sixty Vines is not a pizza-centered restaurant concept, but it serves up a phenomenal Pizza Margherita in a really trendy environment.
To be honest, I never really liked Pizza Margherita. It's normally only made with tomatoes, mozzarella fior di latte, basil, salt & EVOO - booorringg. But the one at Sixty Vines is stuffed full of their fresh basil pesto - a game changer!
The crust is soft, the cheese is melty, and the flavor is incredible. It can be a light, shared appetizer or a full entrée for one.
PRO TIP // Come in on Tuesdays for 1/2 off Rosé!
{500 Crescent Ct Suite 160, Dallas, TX 75201}
3. Pie Tap Pizza Workshop - Best Crust
Do you SEE this thick, fluffy goodness? Pie Tap's pizza crust is easily the best part of the pizza. The toppings are so nicely cradled inwards by the perfect puff of the perimeter.
Pie Tap does pizza well by adhering to the proper Neapolitan technique of using fresh dough and cooking in a wood-fired oven. They also offer Breakfast Pizzas (?!) for brunch with Egg + Mushroom, Smoked Salmon, Eggs Florentine, or Sausage + Egg.
Pie Tap is also great place for a date or girls night out. They have a nice little patio with string lights and a heater out front.
WTGD RECOMMENDS // The Fondue appetizer so you can dip their amazing Sea Salt Rosemary Bread into Goat Cheese Fondue with local Toasted Pecan Pepper Jam - thank me later.
{2708 North Henderson, Dallas, Texas 75206}
4. Fireside Pies - Best Toppings
A pizza isn't all about what's on top, but the combinations of toppings you can get at Fireside are unlike anything I've seen!
They have pies covered with everything from Organic Exotic Mushroom Blends to Garlic Whipped House-Made Ricotta to Roasted Ragu.
WTGD RECOMMENDS // Share a greasy Premium Meats Pizza and a Salmon & Farro Salad. It comes with San Marano Tomato, Cucumber, Dill Yogurt and Cilantro Lime Vinaigrette.
{7709 Inwood Road, Dallas, TX 75209}
5. Pizzeria Testa - Most Authentic
If you didn't know, there is an enormous difference between American pizza and authentic Neapolitan pizza. Most notably, authentic pizza is soft and chewy in the middle because it's cooked in a round wood-fired oven.
Pizzeria Testa knows how to make authentic pizza. It never settles for less-than-Italian quality across its ingredients, wines, and cooking practices.
Here are some of the reasons why Pizzeria Testa's open-kitchen practices make it one of the most pure, authentic pizzeria's in town:
OVENS: Testa boasts twin 7,000 pound ovens handmade by Stefano Ferrara and imported from Italy
WINES: All of the wines come from boutique wineries in Italy
BREAD: Bread is made fresh every morning on the floor of the wood oven
TIPO 00 FLOUR : Expect extra-fine, silky flour imported from Naples
TOMATOES: Testa's San Marzano tomatoes are picked at their peak ripeness from the one place they grown on earth – the rich volcanic soil in the shadow of Mt. Vesuvius
And, of course, it's absolutely delicious.
